Girlie girl starts Hockey today

Our own Molly Moo starts Hockey school Today!
If she had a choice, it would all be in pink! But don't get fooled, she told me yesterday, that "I'm gonna learn how to skate soo fast, that no one will ever get me and the puck, and I will score and score and score mom, unless
Louongo is in goal, course then It can be pretty hard" :))

Don't ever open a package in Sweden before you paid for it

Oh my godness, head cold and all, I went to the grocery store and bought some stuff today with Calvin. As he was having a full show starting out with singing... Then went to full "gong show" before I had collected all the stuff I needed. So I grabbed a kids bag of Carrot corn puffs and opened it to shut that little mouth.
As I opened it a lady from the store walks up to me, knocked me on the shoulder and said " you are lucky the security guard isn't here course he would take you in for stealing"!!!
Oh my, I apologized and explained I was going straight to the cashier to pay for it, and I got a snarky eye, and a "sure you are!" back...
Moral of this story?!
If you don't want to feel like a total criminal don't open a bag of carrot corn puffs for your kid in a Swedish grocery store!

Aaaaaaatcchhooooo!!

This is the horrible face of a mama with a head cold! This blog is not all just about beautiful houses, cheeky kids and cute cats!
This is a tired mamma who's husband is away,(too much at the moment!):( who is terribly happy that she has family around to help her, (oh i LOVE you guys) but really just wants to curl up in bed for a week and sleep.

Astrid

Let us introduce to you our new family member ASTRID the Cat.
The most patient cat ever, she is constantly being poked at, hugged, feed and Calvin'ized!
Last week when we moved in she was such a good cat, showing us what a good little hunter she is, and brought us back two dead mice. One with the head chewed off and all the guts hanging out, outside the door. Thanks Astrid!
And one came inside. thank godness it was stone dead, laying on the kitchen floor. Astrid was meowing and meowing and I was talking back to her saying I'm here Astrid, and she came cozying up with me on the couch. later I found the
Mouse on the floor and knew why she had been meowing!!
As Brad was away at work, I HAD to do the job... AGAIN (I do have a friend in Canada that I have to do 911 mouse rescue for too) ;)
Anyway, isn't she just a sweetheart?! We like Astrid, we do!

Our New home for the Year

So, on Sunday we got the keys to this beautiful Home that we will spend our year in Sweden in, a REAL gem. with an amazing garden that the kids have so much fun in, and the open concept of the living room connecting with the outside. WE LOVE living here already! Think we will enjoy it?! I think so :)

Last Night at Mormor's!

Last night at Mormors and Bertil's House. :(
it's been almost 2 whole months at mormors house, and I have to say that everything has worked out WAY better than I thought. It's been so great to be here, and great to see the kids develop a better and closer connection to the Swedish side of the family.
Calvin has gotten so close to Bertil, and they are really best buds!   "Baaaaaattiiiiiilllllllll"

 Mormor and Molly understand each other perfectly, and I now know where she has gotten her sense of style. :)

Another amazing guy who's been helping me out has been Henrik my stepbrother, who has played and helped me out with the kids, ever since we got here.

we LOVE you so much and can't wait to hang out with you more this coming year.

Tomorrow we get the keys to the house we will live in for the year, It's going to be so nice to be close to the school and activities, and we can't wait to hook up with all you Glumslovs people and have a House wrecker! (wish you were here Hanna and Johan! he he) No, just kidding, I hope that You know, that we will Love your house, and give it lots of love, laughter and an incredible year full of memories that will last us a lifetime. We hope you will have an amazing adventure in Trysil, Norway, with your two AMAZINGLY cute children, and we will most defiantly try and come see you while you are there. We will Love and care for your cat Astrid, and cuddle and make sure Calvin won't pull too many hairs of her! ;)

It will be nice to have our own space, have dinner parties, Christmas and birthdays.
just everyday stuff, that will be created in to wonderful memories! Can't wait..
